"Chris Nauman is the whole package"
- David Keevil, Lexington Acoustic Showcase

Chris Nauman was born and raised on the west side of Cleveland, OH. At the age of six, Nauman would sit at his father’s feet listening to him play the accordion.  Pumped to play music himself, Nauman first picked up the accordion at age nine and then the guitar.  He cut his teeth playing the local music scene in Dayton, OH during college.  He was at the center of political activism in the 1980s while living in the San Francisco Bay Area.  One would find him frequently playing at local rallies with local activist and folk artist, Francisco Herrera.  Medical school and training derailed Nauman's musical ambitions for more than a decade as he embraced a career as a medical oncologist.  Ever a Renaissance man, he then returned to his artistic impulse as the singer/songwriter he was born to be.

Chris Nauman, for a good piece of time, could be found frequently at venues in the New England: coffeehouses, pubs or busking in Harvard Square.  Recently he has returned to the SF Bay Area.  He is not sitting by the dock of the bay but rather wending his way into the local music scene and beyond!

He has shared the stage with notable musicians such as Vance Gilbert, Charlie King and Si Kahn.  Enjoy his first CD music release, “Share the World” too.  May you find happiness in your heart and share the world in peace and for goodness.

Also enjoy "Wind to Flame", a collection of five threnodies begging for hope and pleading to be heard and shared!  This collaboration between father and son, Nick Nauman, is a collision of the Boston folk scene with Brooklyn beats, samples and a menagerie of melodies.  Within this project you will find four original compositions and an original arrangement of Woody Guthrie's "I Ain't Got No Home".  All songs are sonically charged to lead us to a better world.

Menotomy Rocks Records is proud to release "Better Angels" a new album/CD packed with 14 original songs infused with a fierce vision of living each moment deeply and deliberately.

Chris Nauman is an award winning singer/songwriter who pumps passion into his performance with his dynamic guitar work and expressive vocals.  He commands the stage with a keen sense of honesty and freshness. Drawing inspiration from Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Jeff Tweedy, Colin Meloy, (of course, Bob Dylan)  and many others, Nauman channels his mid Western sensibilities into a spirited blend of Americana/folk rock.   Sometimes caressing, sometimes kinetic, his music is always sure to please.
